Today, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district at two places, an army spokesman said.

"Pakistani troops used small arms, automatics and mortars to target our positions in Mendhar and Hamirpur areas of the LoC yesterday (Wednesday) night. Our troops retaliated to the enemy fire. The firing exchanges started at 10.30 pm and continued for about one hour,Col RK Palta told a news agency.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan National Assembly had passed an anti-India resolution while calling it an "act of aggression" and expressed "serious concerns" at the ceasefire violations.

This is reported to be the 32nd case of ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in the last 14 days.
