Case of sexual assault filed against Asaram Bapu

New Delhi, Aug 21: The case of sexual assault has been filed against self styled Godman Asaram Bapu, on Wednesday.

According to reports, a teenage girl has filed the FIR against Asaram Bapu accusing him of sexually assaulting her in a Jodhpur hostel in Rajasthan.

In her complaint, the girl has alleged that she was sexually harassed from last many days.

The case has been registered in Delhi's Kamla Market police station and the investigation is going on. The Delhi Police has also forwarded girl's complaint to Jodhpur police.

Meanwhile, the girl has been sent for medical examination.

The girl was reportedly studying in a Jodhpur hostel, operated by the spiritual guru Asaram Bapu's trust.

Till now, no reaction has come from Asaram Bapu's ashram.

Earlier, Asaram Babu courted controversy for suggesting that the December 16 Delhi gangrape victim was equally responsible for the crime and saying the girl could have called bus driver Ram Singh and other assailants brothers and begged them to stop.
