Naidu should resign from Assembly: YSR Congress leader

Though some of the TDP legislators have resigned their Assembly seats in support of a unified state, Naidu has not done so yet, he said.
The Leader of Opposition should quit his Assembly seat to protect the interests of Seemandhra people, Prakash said.
The TDP leader has adopted double standards on the Telangana issue. Naidu had openly supported unified AP on the floor of the Assembly in February 2005.
But in December 2009, the former Chief Minister changed his stand and asked the Congress to introduce the Telangana Bill and pledged his support for it, the YSR Congress leader said.
A united Andhra Pradesh was the basic principle of the TDP founder N T Rama Rao but it was was altered by Naidu, he charged.
