Kuwait telco offers Indian Independence Day discounts

Dubai, Aug 14: On the occasion of India's 67th

, Kuwait's leading mobile telecom service provider Zain has offered discounts on SMS services and international calls to the country on Aug 15.

Zain has offered 50 percent discount on all SMSes and 20 percent discount to all international calls to India Thursday, the company said in a statement.

"Zain expressed its congratulations on this occasion to the people of India, represented in its leadership, the embassy, and Indian expatriates residing in Kuwait," the statement said.

The offer has been extended to both post-paid and pre-paid customers of the network.

Kuwait is home to around 640,000 expatriate Indians.
