Efforts on to rescue sailors trapped in INS Sindhurakshak blast
New Delhi, Aug 14: Efforts were on to reach the 18 sailors trapped onboard the Indian Navy submarine that was rocked by explosion Wednesday and caught fire, an official said.
INS Sindhurakshak was "submerged at berth" and efforts were being made to enter it to reach the sailors on board, the official said.

"The submarine has submerged at her berth...only its tail is visible," an official told IANS.
He said that about 18 people were onboard the submarine at the time of the incident.
"We are trying our level best to get into the submarine," the official said.
Navy chief Admiral D.K. Joshi is on his way to the naval dockyard in Mumbai.
