Child falls in deep borewell in Rajasthan, dies

Karauli, August 8: A nine-year-old boy slipped into a deep borewell in a village in Karauli district of Rajasthan on Thursday and died.

The child fell into the 150-feet deep borewell at around 2 pm on Wednesday and his parents then informed the district administration, who launched a rescue operation in the evening.

In another incident last year in June, a four-year-old girl was found dead by rescuers inside a 70-feet deep borewell where she was trapped for four days in Manesar in Haryana.
