Delhi: Woman jumps to death from mall, injures man below

New Delhi, Aug 7: A woman allegedly committed

by jumping off the 12th floor of a west Delhi mall Wednesday and landed on and

a man, a police official said.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. at Westend mall in Janakpuri area where the 24-year-old woman jumped and landed on a man, injuring him grievously.

"The woman was identified as Chanchal Sharma of Rohini and the man Sunil Kumar, an employee of a store in the mall.

Both were rushed to a nearby private hospital. The woman was declared dead. Kumar was in critical condition," a senior police official said. The police said they were trying to ascertain the reason behind the woman's suicide.
