Rain and thundershower in various parts of India

Bangalore, Aug 7: Southwest monsoon was high over Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh and very active over Odisha, west Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and Telangana.

Rain and thundershower were reported in most parts of the country, which included Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and west coast, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub­ Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha and interior Karnataka.

Some of the other places receiving heavy rainfall include Gujarat, east Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather conditions are going to remain the same in the next few days.

The Met department warns of extremely heavy rans, accompanied by thundershowers in Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, east Rajasthan, coastal Karnataka, Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa. Weather conditions in other parts of the country would also be extreme.
