Durga's Shakti is being tried again, this time in land-grabbing scam
Lucknow, Aug 6: On insistence from the centre, the Akhilesh government finally filed a chargesheet against suspended IAS officer, Durga Shakti Nagpal, alleging lack of administrative acument, ordering the demolition of the walls of an intended mosque, raising possibilities of a communal tension during Ramzan. Well, that is not all.
The UP Government seems to be scratching for allegations and accusations (almost forcibly) to make the suspension sound more genuine. One can find an added, rather out of place, allegation purportedly made by the villagers for "encroaching upon public land and negotiating land deals between two private parties."

Fighting odds

Readers may remember that the DM had given her a clean chit, saying that she was not present at the site when the demolition happened. Moreover, the walls were brought down by the villagers themselves when Durga explained to them that one needs government permission to build anything on a government land.
Durga now has her hands full with work; she could have done well with her 10 hand literally!
