UP: 10-yr-old boy hacked to death for teasing minor girl

The boy had gone to the jungles of Kakardari to graze his cattle where he allegedly teased the girl on August one, Superintendent of Police Rakesh Chand Sahu said today.
When the girl brought the incident to the notice of her parents, her mother first rushed to the jungle and beat up the boy after which her brother allegedly abducted him, the SP said.
The boy was later hacked to death, police said, adding acid was also thrown on the body to deface it.
Failing to trace their son, the boy's family lodged a kidnapping case on August 4 after which his body was recovered from the jungle, the SP said.
A murder case has been lodged against the family members of the girl, who are all absconding, the SP said. Four policemen of the Mallhipur police station area have been sent to lines for not acting swiftly in the case, the SP added.
