Srinagar, Aug 4: Rain across northern India on Monday led to flash floods in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday while two persons died in Uttar Pradesh in rain-related incidents. Delhi, Punjab and Haryana were coping with heat and humidity although the Met department predicted showers in these states in the next 24 hours.

The situation was particularly bad in UP where the Ganga was flowing above the danger mark at several areas like Varanasi, Ghazipur, Ballia and Allahabad. Ghorwal, Allahabad, Banda, Mirzapur and Chandauli received heavy rainfall.

Rajasthan, Odisha, Bihar and West Bengal were also witnessing flood situations.
