Raja Bhaiya to be inducted in Akhilesh's cabinet after clean chit?
Lucknow, Aug 2: After getting clean chit from Pratapgarh DSP murder case, Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya is marching towards Cabinet berth with the support of CM Akhilesh Yadav.
Raja Bhaiya to comeback as minister?
After getting relief by the CBI, Raja Bhaiya told media, "DSP Zia-ul Haq was killed by an angry mob, it was a public-police clash and it should not be given a communal angle,."
"The
truth
has
finally
been
revealed.
I
express
gratitude
towards
SP
MLAs,
ministers
and
people
of
Kunda
for
standing
by
me
during
this
tough
period,"
he
said.
He added, "The FIR was lodged with malice and had no legal sanctity. I resigned as it was necessary for the image of the government and the Chief Minister."
When asked about possibility of his re-induction in the SP government as minister, Raja Bhaiya said he was with 'Netaji' (Mulayam Singh Yadav) and CM Akhilesh Yadav.
On being asked that whether he would initiate any legal action against the wife of the deceased DSP for filing a wrong complaint he said, "A woman, whose husband has been murdered becomes weak mentally....she says whatever she is asked to, some persons took advantage of this."
Preparations on for Raja Bhaiya's induction:
According to sources, 16-month old Akhilesh Yadav-led SP government is all set to go for fifth Cabinet reshuffle, in which 2 seats are vacant, that means, Raja Bhaiya's chances of being inducted as minister are also high.
Considering the fact that Raja Bhaiya is liked by the SP's supremo, Mulayam Singh Yadav, (maybe because he is a good candidate to get votes from Thakurs) his prospects of coming back as minister, also seems to be very high.
The CBI report on Raja Bhaiya:
Yesterday, The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had filed its final report in Deputy Duperintendent of Police (DSP) Zia-ul-Haq murder case in the special court.
The former Food and Civil Supplies minister and 5 times independent MLA from Kunda, Raja Bhaiya had to resign from the cabinet on March 4, when his name was surfaced in the murder of DSP.
The DSP, Haq was killed on March 2, 2013, during clashes between villagers and police followed by village pradhan and his brother's murder in Balipur village of Kunda in Pratapgarh district.
DSP's widow Parveen Azad filed an FIR against Raja Bhaiy, accusing him to conspire her husband's murder.
On March 6, the case was handed over to the CBI for further investigation. After three months probe, the CBI filed first charge sheet in the case on June 7 in which it named 13 persons. CBI also conducted polygraph test on Raja Bhaiya on June 21 in Centre Forensic Science Laboratory, New Delhi, saying it "wants to rule out all doubts".
Finally, on Thursday, the CBI filed the final report in the CBI court giving clean chit to Raja Bhaiya and his eight aides, in the DSP murder case.
The CBI report mentioned, "There is ample evidence that Raja Bhaiya and his eight aides were not involved in the murder."
The CBI also stated that during investigation, it did not come across substantial evidence to prove the allegations, levelled by slain Haq's widow.
The CBI also said that Raja Bhaiya and his aides, were not even present near the spot at the time of Haq's murder.
The CBI had concluded in the charge sheet that the accused assaulted the DSP brutally before killing him.
Slain DSP's wife to challenge CBI chargesheet
Meanwhile, Parveen Azad, the widow of late DSP Haq said, ""I am not satisfied with the CBI report...My husband had been killed brutally and I want justice," Azad told reporters here. I will appeal against it."
She also said that she would not concede defeat without knowing the truth.
