Heavy rain lashes India

Bangalore, Aug 2: Heavy rainfall has occurred in most parts of India. Currently, while Delhi, Mumbai, Ludhiana and Chandigarh are cloudy, Pune is receiving heavy rains.

Lucknow and Kolkata, however, are witnessing haze. Heavy rainfall occured in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. The minimum in the national capital was a degree lower than yesterday at 29.2 degrees.

The MeT office forecasts rain and thundershower in several areas of Delhi tomorrow.

Heavy to very heavy rain likely to occur at a few places with isolated extremely very heavy falls (>=25 cm) over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka, during the next 48 hours. Heavy rain would also occur at isolated places over ghat areas of North Interior Karnataka during the same period.
