Italy: Tourist buses falls into ravine, 37 dead
Rome, July 29: Thirty-seven people were killed and 12 injured in a coach accident that occurred Sunday evening in Italy, local media reported.
The accident happened at around 08.30 p.m. (1830 GMT) near Avellino town in Campania region, when a bus carrying 49 tourists crashed through the guard rail and fell nearly 30 metres down the hill, Xinhua reported.

The bus swerved to avoid hitting a truck and then invested some cars before violently impacting the guard rail.
Thirty-seven passengers were killed, including some children, while 12 suffered injuries, a few of the serious injuries, and were being treated at a local hospital.
Sources in the police said the reason for the fatal accident was still unclear, and investigations into the cause were still underway.
