AAP launches Karnataka unit, Kejriwal thanks state people

Bangalore, July 27: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday formally launched the party's Karnataka unit (http://www.aapkarnataka.org/) by releasing a book titled Swaraj at an event in New Horizon Public School in Indiranagar here.

The anti-corruption crusader said on the occasion that the people of India are upset with both the Congress and the BJP and neither Rahul Gandhi nor Narendra Modi can assure a bright future for the nation.

"I am overwhelmed and I would like to congratulate all the volunteers who work hard to bring this stage of Aam Party launch in Bangalore. I feel proud coming to Bangalore where I get lot of energy from the party workers and will work hard to make the country corruption free", Kejriwal said.

He also said that 15% of party funds are coming through donation made by the people from Karnataka alone and expressed his gratitude to the people of the state for believing in him and the AAP.

Kejriwal also took a dig at the BJP, saying the latter lacked guts to defeat Shiela Dixit in Delhi and that his young party will defeat both the national parties and form a government in Delhi by winning 47 out of 70 seats in the assembly polls due this year.,

Freedom fighter H S Doreswamy, former IAS officer Balasubramany and Dr Woodey P Krishna, Social activist and educationist were present at the launch programme.
