Power tariff likely to be revised in Delhi

"We will announce tomorrow (Friday) when the revised tariff will be declared," Sudhakar told IANS.
DERC officials said the revised tariff structure could be announced by Monday.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have demanded reduction in power tariff in the capital.
There is speculation that the Congress government in Delhi may put on hold any hike in power tariff announced by the DERC due to its possible impact on the party's electoral fortunes.
The national capital will go for assembly polls by the end of this year, and both the AAP and BJP have given clear signals that they would make power tariff an election issue.
