New Delhi, July 23: US Vice President Joe Biden, who is on a high-profile, 4-day visit to India met his counterpart Hamid Ansari, here, on Tuesday afternoon.

Ahead of his meeting with the Prime Minister, Biden held talks with Hamid Ansari.

Later, in the day, he is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, President Pranab Mukherjee and the Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj to boost diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.

He will also address staff at the US Embassy in New Delhi after which he would attend a dinner at the Hyderabad House, hosted in his honour by Vice President Hamid Ansari, before leaving for Mumbai.

Biden, accompanied by his wife Jill, arrived in New Delhi on Monday evening.
