Rains to hit India in the next 48 hours
Bangalore, July 22: Southwest monsoon was vigorous over Telangana and active over the SubHimalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Marathawada, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Konkan and Goa. Rain and thundershower occurred at a lot of places along the West coast and at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal areas of Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha.
Some of the other places that received heavy rainfall include Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana Lakshadweep and , Arunachal Pradesh. Punjab, Rajasthan and Bihar, however, remained dry.
Several parts of the country are likely to get heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 3 days. Uttarakhand, coastal Karnataka and coastal Andhra Pradesh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, Telangana are some of the regions that are likely to get bear the brunt of the rainy season in the next few days.
Heavy to very heavy rain would occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during next 48 hours. Heavy rain would also occur at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka during the same period.
