Convert anger against Cong into votes for BJP: Sushma

"The general mood of people is totally against Congress. Delhi residents are fed up with 15 year misrule of Congress in the city and there is a change in the offing. BJP workers need to ensure that this change is brought by effectively converting anger of people into votes," she said.
Swaraj was addressing a gathering of party workers in Naraina Vihar area of West Delhi. "The situation has become so bad that if elections take place today, people would say 'take our votes today, but throw out the Congress'," she said, alleging that people are fed up with rampant corruption and sky-rocketing prices of essential commodities. Asking party workers to ensure defeat of the Congress government in Delhi, Swaraj said good election management and positive environment are essential factors to win elections and urged her party workers to work towards it.
"Election management does not only mean sloganeering.... It is important for every party worker to know that he has to take responsibility of his booth. The booth workers will take care of the problems faced by the people belonging to their booths and bring them to me or the party high command's notice," she said.
Underlining the need for strengthening the party at grass root level, she said foundation of the party must be strong to ensure victory in elections. "Today, I want to say that those who make the government are these booth-level party workers, those who make us win elections are these booth-level party workers, those who are the foundation of the party's base are these booth workers," she said.
"The key for BJP's victory in the coming assembly polls in Delhi is in the hands of party cadres at the grassroot level. Effective polling booth management is going to make the real difference and the current exercise by the Delhi BJP of mobilising the party cadres through these meetings is the right step in the right direction," she added.
The Delhi BJP has been organising 'Karyakarta Sammelans' to mobilise its 'crack teams' at 11,763 polling booths in Delhi.
