Weatherman: Heavy rainfall expected in the next 3 days

Bangalore, July 19: Southwest monsoon was very active over Marathawada and considerably active over the Sub­-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Telangana and south interior Karnataka.

Rain and thundershower occurred in a number of places along the west coast and at various places in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam and Meghalaya and Andhra Pradesh and other parts of the country.

However, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, south Rajasthan, Bihar and Tamilnadu were mainly dry.

Very heavy rain and thundershower are likely to occur in the above-mentioned places in the next 72 hours. Very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka, during the next 48 hours.
