He showed particular concern for the railway projects and asked the finance ministry to approve an additional Rs 200 crore for Silchar-Lamding route extension and construction of a bridge at Bogibil.
Singh asked the authorities also to complete three railway projects in the region by March next year. It was said that funds worth Rs 400 crore will be allotted for that purpose. The prime minister has also asked for speedy work in hydro-power projects in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
