Jordan supports US encouraged Palestinian-Israeli talks
Amman, July 18: King Abdullah II of Jordan said Wednesday that the Arab kingdom supports efforts by the US to resume Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.
Jordan will continue to support the US efforts to make progress in peace talks, reported Xinhua citing King Abdullah during a meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry.
The Jordanian leader also said the sole way to preserve peace and stability in the region is through creating an independent Palestinian state in accordance to the 1967 borders.
He warned that Israel's repeated violations against Al Aqsa Mosque and its unilateral measures in Jerusalem undermine peacemaking efforts.
Also, the Jordanian leader urged the international community's support to Jordan, which hosts more than half a million Syrian refugees.
