Mid Day Meal: 192 students hospitalised in Tamil Nadu
Chennai, July 18: After Bihar, now it's Tamil Nadu where at least school students were hospitalised on Thursday, July 18. The students fell unconscious after having mid-day meal given in a school in the state.
The incident took place in Neyvelli, Tamil Nadu. Doctors claimed that the children were out of danger and that the food served to them was suspected to have been contaminated.
Earlier 23 school children died in Chhapra in Bihar. Twenty-five sick children, meanwhile, were shifted to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in the Bihar capital after their condition deteriorated.

"All the sick children are now out of danger. They are likely to be discharged in the next three to four days as their condition is stabilising," PMCH superintendent Amarkant Jha Azad said.
He added that the children have started responding. "Smile has returned to their faces which is a big relief to their worried parents," Jha said.
