Pics: Narendra Modi's 2014 Blitzkrieg under way
New Delhi, July 17: Gujarat Chief Minister and chief of BJP's election campaign committee Narendra Modi is on a campaign blitzkrieg. From Pune to Puri to Nagpur in a week, the man is making his presence felt everywhere, irrespective of the criticism which came his way from the opponents.
The leader is scheduled to address a rally in Hyderabad in the second week of August. That rally has already been a source of a controversy after the BJP announced that it would charge Rs 5 from those attending the event.
The move raised yet another political storm and later the BJP clarified that the funds gathered at the event would be used to raise funds for relief in Uttarakhand, the state which was recently ravaged by an unprecedented natural disaster.
Modi started touring other states on June 23, when he addressed a rally at Madhopur in Punjab and has gradually covered other parts as well. He went to Mumbai where he met BJP workers in Maharashtra and also addressed his party workers in Bihar earlier this month through teleconferencing. He will visit other parts of the country, including the north-east, as part of the preparations for the 2014 polls.
