Jammu-Pathankot highway blocked by protestors for 2 hours
Jammu, July 17: Around 800 people blocked the Jammu-Pathankot highway for nearly two hours this morning protesting against erratic power supply in their area.
The traffic on the highway was disrupted for two hours as the agitators from Jeevan Nagar area in Digiana blocked it protesting against the Power Development Department.
The protestors alleged that PDD was not paying heed to their repeated complaints which had forced them to block the highway.
"We don't want to create any problem, but they have forced us to resort to such means. Since last 15 days we are living without electricity. Most of the children have fallen sick.
People are not able to eat properly," a protester alleged.
