I am a better Hindu than the members of RSS: Digvijay Singh

New Delhi, July 17: Senior Congress leader, Digvijay Singh, on Tuesday openly expressed himself as a 'good practising Hindu' in his blog titled as "Am I anti Hindu?"

In his blog post, the Congress General Secretary, has accused BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Rashtriya Seva Sangh (RSS) of painting him as an'anti-hindu'.

Singh, who is active on social media, has ranted out that he has been called 'Dogvijaya Singh' and some time 'Pigvijaya Singh' by the Sanghis 'gang' who would probably be younger than his grand children and the paid professionals hired by Modi operating from Sanskar Dham in Manipur Sanand near Ahemdabad.

Singh has claimed that though he is abused by the RSS but he is a better Hindu than the members of the Sangh, because he truly understands the principles of the religion.

66-year-old Singh has written , "Some time I am supposed to have converted to Islam and some time to Christianity. Blatant lies which the Sanghis are tought to spread during their training as their Pracharaks.

But I dont blame them or their parents but blame the Sanskar imbibed in them at Sanskar Dham or at RSS Shakhas.

I am a practicing Hindu. I was given Diksha by His Holiness Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Dwarka and Joshi Math in 1983.I regularly pray every day for half an hour and have been doing this since 1969 when I was given Gayatri Mantra after I got my 'Yagyo Pavit Sansakar'.

I have nine temples at my residence at Raghogarh in Guna District MP. Pooja is performed every day according to the traditions as prescribed by my religion. This has been going on for more than 14 generations in all the above temples.

In four of them a permanent "Jyoti" is lit 24 into 7 throughout the year."

In his blog, Singh has said that he is the Chairman of a Trust which is running a Ved Pathshala at Hanuman Temple at Awan near Raghogarh . Like his mother, he also observes fast on all Ekadashis.

He goes on to say, "A good Hindu would always respect all other religion unlike the Sangh Brigade. BJP's Hindutatva has nothing to do with Religion but a ploy to dupe unsuspecting Hindus.
As a good practising Hindu it is my duty to stand up to all the falsehood the Sanghis and their paid professionals are spreading against Muslims Christians and other Minority Groups."

At the end of his blog, Singh has invited those who do not believe his claims about his devotion to the sanatan dharma to visit his house and cross check the facts.
He has also hoped that all others who have been "wrongly influenced by the sangh propaganda" would try to understand him better.
