Weatherman: Heavy rainfall expected across India

Bangalore, July 13:Southwest monsoon was very active over Telangana and very active over Uttrakhand, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka and north interior Karnataka.

Rain and thundershower occurred at most places, along the west coast, south Gujarat and interior Maharashtra. Some of the other places to have received rainfall include Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gangetic West Bengal;a few places in east Rajasthan, Assam and Meghalaya, and Odisha.

Weather conditions are likely to be the same in the next 24 hours.Weatherman wans that very heavy rainfall might occur at one or two places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra and Kerala.
