ADA to construct underground parking near Taj Mahal

Agra, July 13: The Agra Development Authority has drawn up a plan for the construction of an underground two-storeyed

and garden above it near the eastern gate of the Taj Mahal, a senior official said on Saturday.

"1,800 square meters of land was available for the parking lot near the Trident Hotel and the Authority could spend upto Rs 20 lakh on it out of the toll tax levied on Taj visitors," ADA Vice-Chairman Ajay Chauhan told reporters here. He added that prospective builders have submitted their designs and estimates for the parking lot and garden.
