Solar scam: Left protests, seeks Chandy's resignation
Thiruvananthapuram, July 8: The Left Democratic Front (LDF)-led Opposition in Kerala on Monday demanded Chief Minister Oommen Chandy's resignation and protested against the CM.
The Opposition demanded an adjournment motion to discuss the recent developments in solar scam. Deputy opposition leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan moved the request for adjournment motion.
They wanted to discuss the statements made by Sreedharan Nair, a petitioner in solar cheating case, as CM's name was mentioned in the complaint filed by him.

They raised placards and slogans to protest against the CM.
In reply to the adjournment motion, the Home Minsiter Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said that government is ready for any investigation into solar scam. He also said the investigation is going on in the right direction.
Security has been beefed up around the assembly premises.
The Assembly session had resumed on the day after its adjournment a fortnight back amid vehement protests by opposition.
