Pics: BJP ready for snap polls, to compare UPA with NDA
New Delhi, July 8: The BJP has expressed its willingness to go to snap Lok Sabha elections, saying the current UPA government led by the Congress has failed on all fronts.
Party spokesperson Ananth Kumar said they were ready for the snap polls and would stress good governance and development. He also said that party chief Rajnath Singh and chief of its poll campaign committee Narendra Modi will draw up a two-faced strategy, political and organisational, to take the party's Mission 2014 ahead.
Kumar said the BJP will, as part of its election strategy, will compare the current situation with the one when the NDA was in power.
The BJP leader also slammed the Congress, saying its alliance is in a shambles and is likely to ollapse. He also said the Congress-led government is under pressure from all quarters and does not have the courage to face the parliament, adding that it hasn't yet announced about the monsoon session which is supposed to take place this month.
Kumar also said that the Congress had to initiate an ordinance for the food security bill since it could not manage enough support.
The BJP held its second Parliamentary Board committee meeting on Monday wherein it focused on the preparation for the next Lok Sabha elections. Senior leaders like L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Modi were present in the meeting.
The BJP will also focus on the crucial state elections scheduled later this year, Kumar said.
