Hrithik Roshan's brain surgery successful; Dad happy

Mumbai, July 7: Hrithik Roshan went through a successful brain surgery at the Hinduja Hospital in Khar today. The actor was reported to be suffering from subdural haematoma, caused by a head injury in which the veins start bleeding.

The surgery started around 2 pm and went on for around 45 minutes and the 39-year-old actor was operated on by consultant neurosurgeon, Dr B K Mishra, reported HT.

Hrithik's brain surgery successful

Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan told HT, "My son is a strong man. There's nothing to worry about. There's nothing serious. My entire family and I are with him. He will be fine soon."

Hrithik is likely to stay in the Hinduja hospital for another 2-3 days. "For the past week or so, he was involved with post-production work of Krrish 3. That will get delayed now. Plus, he was supposed to leave for an outdoor schedule (of Bang Bang) soon after. That will also be rescheduled," an insider close to Hrithik told HT.

It is said that Hrithik suffered a blow to the head during the shooting of Siddharth Anand's Bang Bang in Phuket. He has been having continuous headaches, and after check-up, a clot was found to be formed between the brain membrane and the skull.
