Heavy rain predicted in Himachal Pradesh
Bangalore, July 5: Vigorous Southwest monsoon traits can be seen over west Madhya Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and is active over east Rajasthan, and Gujarat region. Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Vidarbha, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
Rainfall has occurred at many places over Gujarat, west coast, west Madhya Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands; and at a few places over east Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Sikkim. Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, east Uttar Pradesh, Marathawada, interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh remained dry.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at a few places over Gujarat, South Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra and west Madhya Pradesh, during the next 24 hours.
West Bengal, he Sub Himalayan region coastal Karnataka, Konkan and Goa are some of the other areas expected to receive very heavy rainfall in the next 72 hours. Himachal Pradesh is expected to be worst hit in the next few days.
South and North interior Karnataka are also going to be affected by rainfall.
