Dalai Lama encourages young generation in Bangalore
Bangalore, July 5: Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama today said India had a great tradition of spirituality, non-violence and religious harmony but there were a "lot of problems" at the social level.
"The
21st
century
generation
should
create
better
conditions
within
the
country
to
make
significant
contributions
towards
a
better
world,"
he
said
addressing
students
during
his
visit
to
ISKCON
temple
here.
He said change in the world could be brought about after bringing about change by people locally, where they were living.
He stressed on professional knowledge coupled with "karuna" (compassion) which creates better world. Knowledge based self-centric attitude destroys the world, he said, adding, "Wonderful brain alone is no guarantee for meaningful or happier life."
