Trader robbed on Delhi-Haridwar NH
Muzaffarnagar, Jul 3: A Noida-based trader was allegedly robbed of his car and cash and left injured by three armed men on the Delhi-Haridwar national highway, police said today.
"Santosh Jha, a Noida-based trader, was robbed of his car and Rs 3,000 by three armed motorbike-men near Bhensi bypass on the Delhi-Haridwar national highway in the district yesterday," police said.
"Jha, who was returning from Haridwar, was also beaten up and injured by the robbers," they added. No arrest has been made in the case so far though police is assuring that investigations are on. Jha has been interrogated regarding the appearance of the men.
The police is matching records for their identity, but have been unable to get any leads. "We will crack the case soon. Eye-witnesses are being questioned. We have a fair idea where to trace them," said police.
While cases of theft and robbery have been reported at the flood site, police has no leads, whatsoever, to link the case to them.
