Congress leader shot in Ujjain

Ujjain, July 3: A Congress leader and cooperator was shot by unidentified persons in front of the municipal corporation office in Ujjain. He was rushed to the nearest hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries.

This comes to light when Maoists have been targeting Congress leaders in different parts of the country for quite some time now. In a previous incident Maoists had attacked Congress leaders in Chattisgarh in May.

Protesting the incessant attacks, the party had called a Bandh in Ujjain, demanding better protection from the party.
