Billionaire hospital compounder arrested in Jaipur
Jaipur, July 2: The state Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a compounder Mahesh Chand Sharma, who was also doubling as an advisor at Indian Nursing Council (INC) and seized properties worth crores of rupees.
He was arrested while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakh.
Mahesh Chand Sharma a compunder in a hospital in Jaipur and owns a assets worth more than Rs 100 crore. He owns many nursing colleges, a hospital, resort and several houses in Jaipur.
According to the source, Sharma has taken voluntary retirement from the service eight months back but the hospital authority failed to respond on that.
In the year 2007 he was made an advisor at the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the Anti-Corruption Bureau had been tracking him for months.
The accused has invloved in many case of extortion and targeting nursing colleges and promising them various approvals from INC, New Delhi.
Sharma has been arrested on charges of extortion, accepting bribes and owning disproportionate assets.
