Woman carrying long knife enters Narendra Modi's office
Gandhinagar, July 1: Ahmedabad police on Friday arrested a woman for entering Chief Minister Narendra Modi's newly set up office here with a gupti (long knife). The woman from Surat managed to get past the first cordon of the high security zone in Swarnim Sankul (the new secretariat) and walked up to the second security barrier.
The 35-year-old woman was caught with the knife during checking at the second barrier and alarms went off consequently, alerting the secretariat. The woman, identified as Jhuberia Usman Hafij, told about her Ahmedabad address but she is based in Surat. Police said she doesn't have relation with her family based in Surat.

Questions were raised about how the woman could go past the security in the newly laid secretariat? It was claimed that the new secretariat has flawless security arrangements. The woman did not say the reason for possessing the knife while going to the CM's office, something which has increased the suspicion. It was said that she bought the weapon from Bharuch. She was being interrogated.
She was handed over to the SOG. She reportedly doesn't have any criminal background. She said she wanted to meet the CM to inform him about personal grievances. She told the police that she had bought the knife to cut vegetables, a theory the police refused to buy.
