OneIndia gets CMSB Web media of the Year award
Bengaluru: The leading provider of content in most of the Indian languages, OneIndia, has been awarded the Web Media of the Year Award by the Council for Media and Satellite Broadcasting (CMSB), New Delhi. A number of other individuals from media and other fields of work have also been awarded for their exemplary contribution in various spheres in this award ceremony, held in the Country Club here on Sunday. This was the first CMSB event to be held.

Ashish Jain from Highway Channel, Harsh Pandey from Dainik Bhaskar, and Suman Sharma from DNA were awarded the Journalist of the Year.
Sudhi Darshani, a crime diary, was felicitated with the Weekly Newspaper of the Year Award, while MG Television, Kannad, was conferred the emerging Digital News Channel of the Year award. Bengal's popular A TV was felicitated with the FM Radio of the Year award and Saranima Some, Rajendra Maru and Marudhar Arts of Bangalore were awarded the Art and Gallery Award.
Excellent Leader of the Year Award was given to MLA Priyakrishna, representing the youth wing of the Congress in the Govindaraj Nagar Constituency. Infosys founder N R Narayana Murthy was awarded the India Ambassador of the Year. Some of the other awardees were Amit Kataria from Chhattisgarh and M N Vidhashankar from Karnataka (Civil Servant of the Year) and Karnataka DGP LR Pacaho (Civil Servant of the Year - IPS).
Arun Agarwal, Jayanth Kiri, Suresh GOuda, M Kariyappa and Monalisa Mohanty were the recipients of Social Worker of the Year Award.
Axes Development won the Social Organization of the Year Award. Doctors and teachers were also awarded in the ceremony for their uncompromising contribution in respective fields. Dr Devras from Bilaspur was awarded the Child Specialist of the Year award, Dr Manisha Singh of Fortis and Dr Rita Lobo of St Johns were adorned with the Doctor of the Year award. Dr Savitha Sai Ram was awarded the Special Teacher of the Year Award.
NMDC Ltd and Breth and Co. won the Public Sector Enterprise of the Year award. Susheel Kumar Rishi won PSU CMD Award while Dr J Kumar from Tiruchirapalli was elected the Rural Doctor of the Year Award. S Pachiya from the Adrian Media Works was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Shobha Developers won the Excellent Developer of the Year award. Lawyer of the Year was awarded to Kolkata-based advocate Narayana; Excellence Spiritual and Social Organization award was bagged by the Art of Living. However, last but not the least, the Lifetime Achievement Award was given to the former Prime Minister of India, HD Deve Gowda.
