Sadhvi
Mathura, Jun 29: Noted social worker and religious preacher Sadhvi Rithambara has proposed to adopt children whose parents were killed in Uttarakhand flood fury. The founder of Param Shakti Peeth, located in Vrindavan, Rithambara, wrote a letter to Uttarakhand government stating that the orphans would need support and she was ready to take care of their upbringing.

"In this calamity, many children have lost their parents who will now need support," she said. Param Shakti Peeth, a voluntary organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, has requested the state government to allow them to support the upbringing of those orphaned in the tragedy.

She has also directed the ashram staff to gather information about those children who have been separated from their families. The ashram claims to have implemented such projects previously in Delhi and Haridwar.
