Gangrape: Medical report confirms sexual assault
Udupi, June 27: The medical report of a student from Kerala, who was kidnapped and gangraped on June 20 night at Manipal near here, has confirmed the sexual assault on her, a top police official said today.
IGP (Western Range) Pratap Reddy who confirmed the medical report findings said the police had questioned 22 more persons today in addition to 69 already grilled.
Reddy said Manipal University has announced an additional Rs three lakh reward for anyone giving information leading to the arrest of the three culprits. Police has already announced a reward of Rs two lakh yesterday.

He said the police was confident of nabbing the accused soon as they were working on fresh clues.
The investigation could be expedited if the victim gives more information on the case, he said.
The police have released sketch of one of the three accused and CCTV footage of the abduction of the victim, a medical student.
The student was returning to her room from the library when the culprits kidnapped her from the Manipal University campus and gangraped June 20 night. Police have formed 12 teams with 200 persons working on the case.
