Amitabh Bachchan salutes brave armed forces in Uttarakhand
Mumbai, June 27: A day after the shocking helicopter crash, in which 20 people were killed in Uttarakhand, Amitabh Bachchan expressed his condolence to the grieving family members of the deceased.
Turning up to the micro-blogging site Twitter, the Bollywood megastar tweeted, "Most of those that perished in the air helicopter crash rescuing survivors were from armed forces .. their bravery beyond compare RIP."

Speaking about the flood-ravaged hill state, the actor earlier had said, "The sufferings of those devastated by the Uttarakhand region in the North, continues .. more lost more not traceable .. my prayers !"
20 people including Indian Air Force (IAF) and ITPB officials died when the copter crashed near Gaurikind on Tuesday, June 25. The helicopter had made two sorties to the Kedarnath area since morning and was on its third trip when it crashed.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna on Wednesday announced that his government will compensate the families of those killed in the helicopter crash.
He said apart from Rs 10 lakh for each bereaved family, the state government will also provide free education to the children of the jawans who were killed in the mishap.
