60-year-old raped by youth
Imphal, June 20: A 60-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a 25-year-old youth at Yairipok area in Imphal East district of Manipur, police said today. The youth identified as Md Sanayai allegedly raped the woman while she was working in an isolated paddy field at Somrei village, about 30 km south east from Imphal, yesterday.
Soon after the incident, enraged local residents destroyed the youth's house and set it on fire. Police later arrested Sanayai.
