LK Advani shocks all, resigns from all BJP posts
New Delhi, June 10: A day after Narendra Modi's promotion, LK Advani shocked all with his resignation from all posts in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The senior leader of the party resigned from BJP Parliamentary Board, Election Committee and National Executive. Speaking about his resignation, Advani on Monday, June 10 said, "Most leaders now concerned with just their personal agendas."
Statement of the veteran leader clearly expressed his disappointment with party leaders who promoted Gujarat Chief Minister on Sunday, June 9. Neither Advani nor any other BJP leaders had accepted reports regarding the open war between Advani and Modi. However, experts believe that Advani's latest move might be a step to create more pressure on the party.

Earlier it was reported that Advani was upset with Modi's elevation as party election campaign committee chief. BJP President Rajnath Singh on Sunday officially announced party's decision at the Goa meeting.
Advani had skipped the meeting citing health issues. Overruling all reports regarding internal war in the party, Advani on Monday said that his stomach upset for the last three days was the reason for which he could not attend the party's deliberations in Goa.
