BJP Meet: Narendra Modi set to derail Advani Protest Express
Panaji, June 9: Narendra Modi seems to be ready to outshine all protests by LK Advani-led group and to become chairman of the campaign committee for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The party President Rajnath Singh hinted that the executive would take the big step on Sunday, June 9 of naming Gujarat Chief Minister the poll panel chief ahead of crucial Lok Sabha election which is expected to be held in 2014.

However, veteran BJP leaders including Advani opposed Rajnath Singh's proposal. Despite his difference with the Gujarat CM, Advani reportedly had offered a compromise formula, suggesting that Modi be appointed as the convenor and not the chairman of the poll panel.
Top BJP leaders -- Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Rajnath Singh and many others including Modi reached the venue at Panaji in Goa. The final decision is expected to be announced around 12:00 pm on Sunday.
