Narendra Modi endorsed; Is Ramdev clearing path to join BJP?

Ramdev
New Delhi, June 6: Baba Ramdev resumed his campaign endorsing Narendra Modi asserting that the Gujarat Chief Minister is the sole political leader who can given the country a "stable government". Citing Ramdev's continuous support for Modi, many raised questions -- is the yoga guru trying to clear his path to join Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)?

Slamming all critics of Modi, Ramdev on Thursday, June 6 was quoted as saying, "Some irresponsible leaders who are dreaming up a mirage of becoming prime minister of India seem to have forgotten the support enjoyed by Modi."

The yoga-guru also announced to launch a nation-wide yatra (procession) in July 2013 preaching for Modi's candidature as BJP PM candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The General Election in the country is expected to be held in 2014.

Earlier Ramdev said, "In the present situation, Narendra Modi appears as a man who is committed to development and one who can prevent corruption."

Mocking at the anti-Modi leaders within BJP, the yoga-guru said, "Those who cannot digest these qualities of Modi should do kapaal bhati (a yogic breathing exercise made famous by the Baba) and improve their digestion."

BJP and its President Rajnath Singh recently declared that they would announce its PM candidate name at right moment. However, the question regarding Modi have been haunting the party. According to experts, the party should declare its PM nominee's name ahead of the crucial general election.
