Techniche’13 - Ideate. Nurture. Kindle
Every triumph mankind has achieved, has had its genesis as an idea. The concept of Ideation has been at the root of all human progress. When one chooses to believe in that idea, to Nurture it, to walk step by step with it as it grows, it truly begins to take shape. And when one sparks the fire in that idea, and Kindles its flame, that is when true inspiration is born. This inspiration itself paves the way for yet another idea, and the cycle goes on indefinitely.
Fifteen years ago, Techniche started out as a humble idea. Today, it has come to stand for bringing out the best of ideas from us all. A step we hope to take with you, towards sparking the fire in each of you.
With just a little over 3 months left for the biggest techno-management festival of the north-east, preparations to make Techniche'13 the best and the biggest edition ever are in full swing.

A signature dish that is served at Techniche is the Lecture Series, which serves as a platform that allows illustrious figures from all walks of life to come under one roof and share their experiences and ideas with the next generation. With an interesting array of speakers like Roz Savage, Jonathan Grudin and Pat Spain lined up, the Lecture Series promises to live up to the hype around it.
The exchange of ideas between the present leaders of the industry and the future decision makers is essential for the growth of both of them . With the Industrial Conclave, Techniche aims to do just that. With industry heavyweights like Meera Sanyal, Anuja Chauhan, Arun Shourie, gracing the Industrial Conclave, it is going to be an enriching experience for everybody present.
With a wide array of events lined up for Robotics enthusiasts, the Robotics Module is all set to live up to its tagline - Bigger. Better. Meaner. After the hugely successful previous edition, Escalade-the all India Robotics Competition enters its second year and is going to be conducted in 12 cities this time.
The Predefined module organizes events for various departments which include Computer Science, Electronics, Design, Civil, Mathematics, Bio-Chemical. TechScribe-the annual paper presentation competition has always been a major highlight.
The Corporate Module is held in collaboration with the Entrepreneurial Development Cell of IIT Guwahati and by organizing events like Brain-Child (B-plan writing competition), Product Launch, Strategem, the management half of Techniche'13 is all set to scale new heights.
Techniche, for the very first time has taken up the initiative to organize a social campaign, Sociothon which has included events like Social 360 (a day out for the under privileged kids), free Health Camp and Medical checkups, etc.
This year marks the decade edition of Technothlon, the international school championship for students of classes 9th-12th. The prelims will be held at various centres across India on 14th July with the top 50 teams of each squad qualifying for the finals to be held during Techniche at IIT-Guwahati.
