Bangalore, May 30: The nation began the day with a shocking news on Thursday, May 30. Acclaimed film director Rituparno Ghosh passed away at his residence in Kolkata, West Bengal.
The entire nation including celebrities, politicians, film critics mourned his. The 49-year-old director suffered a massive heart attack. He was suffering from pancreatic ailment for some time.
Ghosh, who had directed many critically acclaimed movies, had received 12 national and many international awards between 1995 and 2012.
Beginning from Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to actor-turned-socialist Shekhar Kapur turned to micro-blogging site Twitter to express deep condolences over Ghosh's death.
