Bangalore: Bomb scare at IIM campus, security beefed up

Bangalore, May 23: Security has been beefed up at the campus of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bangalore on Thursday, May 23.

According to sources, someone called and threatened IIM authorities to blow up the campus which is situated at Bannerghatta road at the hub of the garden city.

Bomb scare at IIM campus

Bangalore police and bomb disposal squad rushed to the campus of one of the top public business schools in the country. Police sources informed that they have been searching the entire campus. However, it was not clear whether it was a hoax call or the call had some link with terror group.

Recently, the city had experienced a terror attack when at least sixteen people including eight police officials received severe injuries during bomb blasts outside BJP headquarter at Malleswaram on April 17.

The Union home ministry had confirmed it to be an act of terror and the Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde ordered an inquiry.
