Miscreants attack postmaster, flee with temple hundi

Namakkal, May 21: The body of a postmaster was found inside the premises of the Aalangadu Kaliamman temple near here, police said today.

Police said 55-year-old Mani, postmaster of Aalampalayam in the district, used to perform poojas in the temple. Last night, he conducted poojas and slept in the temple itself and some unidentified persons attacked him with iron rods, killing him on the spot.

They then fled with the temple hundi, police said. PTI
