Pran handed over Dadasaheb Phalke Award at his home

, May 10: Legendary actor Pran was conferred with Dadasaheb Phalke Award at his residence on Friday. The ailing actor couldn't be present on the award-giving ceremony in New Delhi last week. Union I&B Minister

handed over the top cine award to the 93-year-old actor. A number of family friends and acquaintances were present on the occasion.

Pran Kishan Sikand or 'Pran' as he is popularly known, has done over 400 films in span of over six decades. He was named for the prestigious award in April.

Pran played a vast range of roles, from a hero to a villain to a character artist, during his acting days and became a legendary villain after portraying bad guy in hit films like Madhumati, Ziddi, Ram Aur Shyam and Milan.
